Discipline
I think it is time to give the blog another shot. It seems that Rachel was justified in rolling her eyes but rather than just send the blog to the cyber landfill I am going to attempt to get it up and going again...that’s all for now...pow!

Who's the daddy?
Well that would be me:) Yep my beautiful wife and I have become parents to our first born son Reuben James O' Herlihy. Little Reuben came into the world on June 1st at 5:24 pm and weighing in at a tubby 8.2 lbs. It has taken a week to pull myself away from him and his mum to jot a little something down here. No photos at the moment as I have lost the cable for the camera, but they will be all over this blog soon.
A penny for my thoughts? Well thanks for asking, I feel born again with him, the world is now a different place or it seems so, I feel strangely the same, yet boy oh boy how the world and everything it has changed.
Praise the Lord who is the giver of life and the giver of little Reuben, let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Yep I need to sleep more.

Why wordle? Why not?

I have now joined the Wordler's of the world and put a few of the sermons I have preached whilst on placement in Belmont, Tremorfa into it. Funny seeing what it produced. I have not edited it so it is what it is, much like the sermons themselves I suppose. I'm thinking of doing it with the entire Bible, maybe that will reveal its true meaning, or maybe not:)
Thanks to my ever helpful friend SW, you know who you are.

Can it be...
A ticket to the moon please.

I came across an article today, well the guys at BUGB e.news sweep did, about a record number of complaints regarding the bus adverts that claim there is a God, which of course are a reaction to the atheist advertisements 'There probably is no God'. Apparently there where 30,000 complaints about this add (the Christian one) which I find not surprising but rather revelatory of us as a nation. I mean when I think we as a nation find a 'toff' meerkat quoting his family history hilarious and a 21 year old model claiming the special, scientifically, dermatologically, animal friendly, affordable, wonder cream cream shes holding keeps away wrinkles believable, well come on Branson get that Galactic ship up and running I want out of here. (Better still, come Lord Jesus)

Her eyes roll again!
Rachel has rolled her eyes at the news I am beginning to blog. She has witnessed enough fads of mine to know that this may not last long. I don't really know why I have started, I guess it is because I have always been pants at keeping a diary or journal, as my tutors at the college know only to well. Yet I hope it will draw out the writer in me as to be honest after four years of studying theology at college and university I am still waiting for him to emerge.
